What was your path to dfine?

I wanted a new company that truly had that “family” environment and structure. That is often stated by companies large and small, but not truly a vision of the company. At dfine, you are encouraged to break the rules and think outside the norm, but always stay in control.

How do you “dfine” branding and what it means to you?

Branding is not just about a company’s image, but how it gives clues to a consumer who might buy or work with a company. What brands people buy or don’t buy gives insights into that individual’s personality. It creates another common point between people to create new relationships and strengthen current ones. Lives are about connections and branding has an influence on many more levels than the obvious.

What is your favorite brand and why?

Nikon is my favorite brand for its continuing excellence in its industry. I understand why they create their products a certain way and they do not change that philosophy.

What is it you are happiest doing?

Gardening is always a joy. Smelling the fresh earth and observing seedlings pop out of the ground makes the stresses of the day melt away.
